Amelia Ray (she/her/y’all) is a non-fiction filmmaker and hailing from Birmingham, AL.
A descendant of Kentucky dairy farmers and Appalachian musicians, she is interested in the creative liberation of the South.
She holds a BFA in Film/Television with a minor in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design and is an MFA candidate at Duke. Her work has been supported by the Alabama State Council on the Arts, The Warhol Foundation, and The Southern Documentary Fund and featured by The Video Consortium, Beyond the Short, Boooooom, and C41 Magazine.
